Gotta Hold Yer Mouth Right

Well, the little has learned that to get anything, anything done in the world you have to hold your mouth right. In this example it is getting up on all fours, but as you can see she has mastered two skills in one day, pre-crawling and how to hold your mouth so that it works. So far she can only go backwards, but I am afraid that once she gets the mouth thing down, her toes will make contact with the carpet to push off she will shoot across the floor, making that pistol ricochet noise that cartoons make when they disappear in a rooster tail of dust. Oh that noise? Thats the baby ricocheting off the walls.

But for now, here is a photo essay of the mouth and all the proper ways to hold it. Take note of the closeup of the teeth, those dastardly reasons for all the drool and drool related laundry around here.

The first example is from a few days ago, she is demonstrating the
Hey Mom, That Was Really Cool, Do It Again face.
Uh Huh, Hold It Riiiiight There. This one is particularly good for when you are hammering nails, stacking blocks, gluing things together or trying to peel an apple without breaking the peel.

um, I don't know what to call this one other than Really Stinkn' Cute.

Or maybe Really Cute Stinker.

I can't think of anything for this one.

Or this one, other than, My Eyebrows Might Fly Off From All This Effort.

But would you look at those teeth!

But this one, now this is the
Oh My Gosh Did You See What I Did? Will You Please Come Cover My Face With Kisses RIGHT NOW!

This is the My Body Is Being Held Up By My Cheeks, Ears and Eyebrows, Isn't That Neat?
So that everything stays fair, here is the boy at the same age...He is showing his promise with the Eyebrows Holding My Body Off The Ground face.

And his version of
Cover My Face With Kisses RIGHT NOW, Please, Thank You, Aren't I The Cutest Thing You Have Ever Seen?

But this one, this one is the best. This is known as Chicken Face, Dumptruck Face and What The Heck Was That? Such talent at such an early age, we should have know then that he was special.
